This beautiful vessel was designed by well-respected New Zealand architect

 Mr. JG Trevithick. It was built by Mr. Charles Bailey Jnr in 1897 for a wealthy businessman to sail the world.

The owner’s voyage was cut short in Australia due to his death in the early 1900’s.

Little is known of the vessel’s early years only that for many years she was used as a customs vessel because of her amazing speed under sail.

In the early 1940’s she was purchased by a young shipwright who completely re fitted her and then in the early 1950’s she was then sold to a Doctor in Melbourn who moored her in Salt Pan Cove in Pittwater.  He sold her to Mr. Cliff Jones in 1968, and she was then purchased by the current owners in 1974.

The current owners have maintained her for 50 years and precents in beautiful condition while sailing her many nautical miles around the South Pacific taking her to Noumea, New Hebrides – Vanuatu and Fiji Islands including the east coast of Australia and Tasmania.
